Tapiwa Chinembiri is a Researcher at RIA with special interests in African mobile pricing and affordability. He focuses on populating pricing portal, quantitative research, support analysis and modelling for policy papers and reports as well as participating in research and consulting projects for RIA. In pursuit of his career as a Researcher, Tapiwa holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town in 2018. His research interests also include program evaluation, poverty and inequality, labour economics and household survey data quality. He is a member at the Internet Society and also World Youth Forum. Prior to joining RIA, he was a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Cape Town’s School of Economics. Before moving to South Africa, he was an Assistant Databases Statistician at Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency.
