Abdiaziz Ahmed worked as a part-time Research Fellow on the Africa After Access project. He is undertaking a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa. Ahmed holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Nairobi. His research interests fall into the fields of environmental economics, labor economics, and health economics. His work has been supported by grants from the UN Women, the University of Nairobi, and J-PAL Africa. Before joining ICT Research Africa, he worked as a consultant for a number of organisations such as UN Women, J-PAL, Health Policy Plus, Nottingham Trent University, and the University of Nairobi’s Women Economic Empowerment Hub(EE).
