Leslie has over 8 years of experience in academic research. He completed a Master of Science degree in African Politics at SOAS, University of London, and a Master’s degree in e-Science at the University of the Witwatersrand. His research interests include the promotion of tech entrepreneurial ecosystems as a means to socioeconomic development in Sub-Saharan Africa, and the effects of automation technologies on the continent’s labour force. His research approaches are predominantly from a political economy lens, with experience in statistical analysis. Leslie believes strongly in data equality and research based on data that are
inclusive and representative of marginalised populations.
