Profile

Marie Batista was trained both as a research assistant in humanities and social sciences and as a translator (English, Portuguese and French). She holds a BA and a MA in Humanities, major psychology, and a MA in Computer Assisted Translation and International Relations from the University of Poitiers. Fascinated by languages and interculturality, she has also been learning classical Arabic for several years. Currently, she is particularly interested in how to facilitate and harmonise translations in multilingual organisations, especially in the specialised field of ICT in the African Union, based on her work as a freelance translator for Research ICT Africa.
