Nokuthula Olorunju is an Attorney and Researcher who holds an LLB and LLM with a focus on Cyberlaw/Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Law from the University of the Witwatersrand. She has also obtained certificates in practice management and compliance. She has written and co-authored several articles and chapters, participated in conferences, and contributed to projects on the intersection of various aspects of social science. She was a Research Assistant and PhD Intern in the Developmental, Capable and Ethical State (DCES) unit of the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC). She is currently pursuing a PhD in the field of human rights and artificial intelligence. Nokuthula research interests include: the judiciary, artificial intelligence, data protection and privacy, gender rights and equality, land rights, civil society and public interest litigation.
