RIA has been actively engaging across multiple fronts, convening partners, consulting stakeholders, and driving conversations that matter. Over the last few months, we have leveraged both national and global forums to drive a digital transformation agenda that can empower the Global South to participate in the digital economy, deriving equitable and just opportunities from advanced technology. From the South African G20 and T20 processes, to the continent-wide African Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF) and African School of Internet Governance (AfriSIG) in Tanzania, and finally the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Norway, RIA is using its evidence-based research and multi-disciplinary cohort to call for policy and regulatory approaches that reflect the needs of Africans, while progressing international commitments to digital inclusion, trustworthy tech, and sustainable and equitable digitalisation.
