Tapiwa Chinembiri is a Junior Researcher at RIA with special interests in African mobile pricing and affordability. He focuses on mobile pricing collection and analysis on the RIA African Mobile Pricing (RAMP) portal, quantitative research including analysis and modelling of research for policy purposes. In pursuit of his career as a Researcher, Tapiwa holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2018. His research interests also include program evaluation, poverty and inequality, labour economics and household survey data quality. He is a member at the World Youth Forum. Prior to joining RIA he was a Research and Teaching Assistant at UCT in the Department of Economics. His main focus was on youth unemployment and tobacco control on public health research in Southern Africa. He has also previously worked as an Assistant Statistician at Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZIMSTAT).
