Oarabile is a technologist and a Research Fellow at Research ICT Africa, working on the AI Readiness project in Africa his research is focusing on policy and AI & governance, interograting algorithmic bias and mapping out inclusion efforts in AI implementation. Oarabile holds a Bachelor’s (Hon) Degree in Computing from Teesside University and starting his Masters in ICT Policy and Regulation.
In 2018, he attended the Citizen Lab Summer School as a fellow with the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. Outside work, Oarabile founded a digital rights movement (www.funda.africa), an organization committed to building dialogue around equality and digital rights in the Internet governance ecosystem. Among other fellowships, he is an alumni of the African School on Internet Governance and the ICANN fellowship.
